CloudFlare is our CDN (content delivery network) and website security provider. Social Strategy, and every other website we host, runs on CloudFlare for these two main reasons.
1. CloudFlare makes your website run faster
The advantage of CloudFlare’s caching is to move your static content closer to the requesting visitor. CloudFlare has data centers scattered across their global CDN, so when someone requests a page from your website, CloudFlare is able to return images directly from the cache server closest to them.
CloudFlare also optimizes the network route based on the visitor’s location, in order to make the content’s return extremely quick. As a result, CloudFlare is able to significantly decrease both bandwidth and the amount of server load returning static file.
